The 1st Limited Edition release embodies all the characteristics of Dragon Claw.
A Single Barrel sourced from pouring over so many expressions until the perfect match was made. Then taking that single Mother Cask and finishing it in 6 smaller Virgin America Oak Casks, Solidifying Dragon Claws unique identity. A golden, bold, sweet caramel with a fiery first impression at 64% Cask Strength.
Your bottle will be drawn from one of the six smaller casks, making each bottle that little bit more Limited.
THE HISTORY
Dragon Claw STARTED with a simple passion for whiskey. Using a number of old Bourbon recipes of Corn, Rye and Malt Barley.
A very small batch Whiskey from an even smaller pot still, running hot in the hills of Holywood Northern Ireland. First a moonshine, and pretty damn good even before it made its way into those Virgin American Oak Barrels. Ageing to a golden rich Whiskey. Litre by litre, year by year.
THE CHANGE
To bring Dragon Claw to a wider market. To all those Whiskey fans around the world. The First, very Limited Edition series brings a Cask Strength, Single Barrel Whiskey of only 248 bottles. A Whiskey that mirrors the characteristics of the original recipe. One that has all the fire and strength of the Dragons Claw but sweet and smooth, with rich deep caramel and flavours.
The Limited edition series will span the next 3 years for Dragon Claw Whiskey. Each one bringing its own character to the collection before the release in 2024 of Dragon Claws new permanent edition.
